Behind

I remember that one day, last year, when I felt like I really had my $hit together.  House was clean, laundry was done, bills were paid, chores were done.  What a kick- a$$ day!! Most days however, I am so behind my to-do list is on a time line.  Animals get fed, chores get done, kids eat (because they make their own breakfast) but I really don’t ever have my inside work done.  As a matter of fact, in the summer time I will find any excuse to get out of the house just so I don’t have to deal with it.

It took me awhile to get over that concept of having my $hit together.  Those clothes on the floor, the dishes in the sink – if it’s really that bad they can pick themselves up and walk away for all I care.

It was a shift that set me free.  Do what’s important – find a way that works to get yourself in a rhythm and let go of the rest.  The only way you’ll get ahead is to redefine what it means for you to be in that place. When good enough is great and behind no longer matters.  It’s pretty awesome here.
